Before installing any new tile or flooring you may need to remove old or damaged tile and mortar.
To remove thinset start by pouring boiling water over the thinset to weaken the material.

If you re unable to remove all of it smooth out the surface with an angle grinder and a diamond grinding wheel.
Work the chisel between the tiles and the concrete hammering them up with a 2 lb.
Removing tile from concrete will require you to use your strength to the fullest because you have to knock the tiles out instead of them coming out without any real force.
And it s great for creating durable surfaces.
