Don t rub hard that wears carpet fibers.
Remove wax stain from carpet.
Rub with fingers or smooth back of metal spoon never a rough terry cloth.
There are generally two options when it comes to cleaning up candle wax.
Once the wax stain is frozen use your knife to scrape off as much of the wax as you can.
Whichever method you choose will depend on your preference and what items you have to hand.
There are two parts to this the wax the red dye in the wax.
To remove wax from carpet use a knife or plastic card to scrape up excess dried wax.
Vacuum up the pieces you scraped off and then continue on to step 3.
Place a brown paper bag or card stock over the wax stain and keep a towel nearby to protect the rest of the carpet.
Place a clean cotton cloth over the wax stain on the carpet place a warm iron on the cloth and the wax will melt and be absorbed into the towel.
Then remove the rest of the wax with mild solvent like goof off.
Heat an iron to a medium setting with no steam and press the iron to the paper bag directly over the wax.
Scrape the wax off.
Once the wax is frozen use a butter knife to scrape as much of the wax as you can off of the carpet.
Don t be too rough with the carpet as you don t want to cut the threads.
Be careful and do not use a very hot iron.
Remove candle wax from carpet.
Scrape off the wax.
Moisture will only make the stain tougher to remove.
A warm iron and paper towel gets wax out about 90 of it.
Using heat rather than cold remove more candle wax and is the best method for candle wax removal.
